Or he doesn't want to explain it because it's something— like them being able to control how they look as they age. A perk to go with the whole fast healing part of them. It's not that much of a stretch.

[stiles' lips twitch for a moment, pressed tight together to try and fight it, but at lydia's blanket permission he allows himself to let go, releasing her hand to hunch over double and wheeze his laughter into his knees. it's the first real, honest laugh he's had in awhile, and he appreciates that it came from lydia of all people.
