[ Allison bites her lip, does her best to pretend to look guilty. She can't keep it up for long, though, and unfolds herself, standing up to grab one of the cupcakes off the plate. ] I'm really glad you like them.

Total honesty here, I probably would eat it even if it wasn't any good. But you did good, Allison, honest. [small, secret smile here.] And I don't just mean with following the recipe.
[ She's peeling the paper away from her cupcake, but stops when he thanks her. Because he's thanking her for more than the food, it seems, and it feels like -- something's hanging in the air, words neither of them are saying. ] You're welcome.
[ She wants to ask him what he means, but she doesn't want to ruin whatever this is happening between them right now. ] I just -- you've kind of been there the most since I got here, you know? So I wanted to do something for you.
[stiles almost points out how selfish his being around her could be construed, what with the guilt factor and just her being gone, but it's not even all that true because he's genuinely dug all the time he's spent with her and sort of regrets that they never managed to get here back home.
instead he just takes another bite of the cupcake, chews for a bit to consider an alternative answer, swallows and says:] Anytime. You know that, right?
[ It'd be silly of her at this point to not know that, and she grins, almost a little shy about it. Because she, too, has really enjoyed the time they've spent together. She's always liked Stiles, even if the most she ever really did for him was get him to Macy's so he could ask Lydia to the formal. Circumstances kept them from actually becoming close friends, but here, they don't have those. It's almost like a blank slate. ] Yeah. I do. Same goes for you.
[and there's not really all that much more to say to that, so stiles just sits down next to her and takes another bite, bumping shoulders with her lightly.]
