Oh, I know how to deal with my own werewolves. That's not actually a problem. I know how to hurt them and fix them and stop them in their tracks. I have been there and I have done that and the t-shirt is not really worth the trip.

Most of them are idiots anyway and wouldn't be able to plan their way out of a paper bag. I mean you have not met pointless melodrama until you have met the "demon wolf". [stiles makes the appropriate finger quotes]

No actual demons are involved. Basically it happens when an Alpha goes power hungry and kills all of his Betas. And winds up looking like the really ugly descendent of a werewolf and a bat.

I don't know if I would say reasonable. Wyrm-tainted shifters are only good to die, really.

Besides, it doesn't make any sense to kill all your betas. The only reason that the wolves won the War of Rage were because of packs.

That. See, working together is what solves things. Haring off on your own and keeping secrets and being uncooperative... that's how things just wind up getting more shitty.

[stiles' gaze zeroes in on her shifting hair like a laserbeam. like a magpie seeing something shiny, because stiles is basically a magpie on a good day anyway.]

Yeah. Being shifter adjacent is enough trouble, really.

[She shrugs a little]

[shaking his head frantically] Oh my god, don't jinx it!

That is not a complication I need in my life right now, okay, and with the Nematon acting like a beacon who knows what's going to make it's way into town next.

[chuffle]

With all the werewolves hanging out? You won't get vampires. They're big cowards.

[She just leans back, comfortable now.]

[stiles lets out a relieved sigh, chin dropping down to rest on his chest]

Good. There's already enough biting in my life. [he lifts his hands up near his mouth and makes the shape of claws with his fingers as he bares his teeth in a faux fanged look. you know, just in case she isn't sure what he means by biting.]

[chuffle]

All right, so you're okay?

[She tilts her head up just so, just to look at him]

[he flashes a tired sort of smile at her.]

'course. I'm fine.

[chuffle]

Then I'll leave you to get some sleep.

[She hoists her weight up, and ruffles his hair again (it gets her scent on him, which is why she keeps doing it) and opens the door]

[stiles stays on the bed, tips his head back against the wall to watch her leave with a fond look]
