I don't know if you've noticed, but the Tranquility doesn't really lend itself to not necessarily being in that environment. Besides, you wouldn't have it in your room.

In that case, it might be advisable to have the rest of the conversation I wanted to have with you in person. Unless you were planning on sleeping once you got there.

Let's be honest, knowing our luck, some ghost would appear all offended because it happened. And sweetheart there's a lot of extra rooms around here that no one uses. What better place.

That depends. Do you want it on the sort of pack floor or one that none of us are on? I personally advocate for the latter if only because if something goes weird with it, I don't want to ruin our entire floor.

Hey. [ scott steps sideways into the room, which he's realizing now he's not sure he's been in since they got here. not that there's likely to be much to see since it's literally identical to his own just down the hall.

he shoves his hands in his pockets and shrugs, shoulders bunching awkwardly. ]

yeah i don't think i really want it that close to where we all sleep. especially since i'm, you know, actually sleeping again.

derek's been keeping an ear out for me btw, so far no sleep walking. i'll be there in 5

[and he probably picked up his pace a bit at the knowledge that lydia was waiting for him, because he's actually at the door three minutes later, stowing his comm away in a pocket so he can get the door for them.]

[stiles huffs out a laugh and steps back to sit on his bed, staring up at scott wryly.]

Trust me, I'm in no big hurry to get lost in those hallways again either.

Allison and I talked and we're... we're good. I'm glad she's here, even if seeing her at first was sort of like a gut punch. She thinks it's ridiculous that you still haven't seen Star Wars, by the way.

Good. [ Scott says it quickly, and nods, and then again, and some more. ] That's good. All of that's good. [ And then he grins a little, a crooked little flash of teeth and delight at the mention of Star Wars. He shrugs, and says extra-innocently: ]

We're in space, why would I watch it now? It's pretty much just like this anyway, right?

Dude. [stiles points a finger in scott's face, entirely serious and completely disapproving.]

[ lydia ends up holding her response in until she sees stiles. she lets him get the door for both of them before she actually says anything. ]

See, I would trust him more if I didn't have to be reassured that Isaac would deal with Derek if he got mad at me for moving down here with everyone else. But I'm glad you're not sleep walking according to him. [ a pause and a small smile. ]

Hi. I— I went home over the jump. Or over the jumps I was sleeping. I know you should be nogitsune free. Tell me I'm not wrong in assuming that.

[stiles waits until she's settled in the room before he turns to show her the 'self' symbol raised on the skin just behind his ear as an answer to her query. he turns back around and matches her smile.]

We sealed the nogitsune up nice and tight, I hope. Not super excited to go through all that again, anyway. [scratching at his neck distractedly.] I guess the ship and stuff that's been happening has made me kind of nervous about it though, so that's why I've been having Derek listen.

[that's why he had derek take the key away from him and do... whatever it is he did with it.]

Why would Derek be mad at you moving down here with the rest of us, anyway?

I'm pretty sure we all don't want you to go through that again. For partially selfish reasons and you know— [ not wanting you to go through it again because that sucked for you. ] You're not wrong in being nervous, the ship likes to mess with all of us enough that at this point the nogitsune would seem par for the horrible course. That does lend itself to us keeping the room on a floor away from all of us. Least amount of potential backlash that falls on us.

[ lydia ends up cringing a little at stiles' question. it's not just her story to tell and she honestly doesn't know how stiles would react to it. truth be told, a large part of her just doesn't want to tell him in case he reacts badly. allison might be here now but if there's one thing lydia knows it's that people don't stay. she doesn't want to risk having her friends mad at her. ]

That is a very complicated story that— trust me, Stiles, you really don't want to know. His reasons are— mostly valid.

[ scott waves him off with a hand and a barely-suppressed grin. ] Yeah, well, I don't think they have it on board anyway, so it's not like I can go watch it now.

[ topic change is signaled only by him tilting his head thoughtfully. ] Would it be weird if I asked Allison to watch a movie?
